Customer Showcase: Garage Creative Audio Studio
"We used Audimute products in our audio suite and what a dramatic improvement. The wall treatments in the control room and voice booth really helped to control the reverb and low frequencies. Now the room sounds more balanced and it helps me to achieve a more accurate mix of my projects."
- Rich M., Associate Creative Designer at Garage Creative
The Problem
Garage Creative Studios, located in Brecksville, Ohio, is a creative services company that specializes in film-making, music recording and other artistic endeavors. Garage Creative needed a solution to treat an excessive noise transmission problem between their Audio Studio and their editing suite.
The Solution
Rich, the Associate Creative Designer at Garage Creative Studios, worked with Audimute to develop a solution for their noise transmission problem. One of our Acoustic Specialist recommended using Peacemaker® Sound Barrier to reduce the amount of noise transferring between the two suites. To ensure success, our Acoustic Specialist also recommended installing two layers of Peacemaker onto the wall adjoining the two suites and then covering the Peacemaker with drywall.
Rich M. and his team then made the choice to add Exposed Frame Fabric Acoustic Panels to the walls in their editing and recording suites. The addition of the acoustic panels would ensure that the recording quality within their suites would come out balanced and well-rounded.
The Outcome
After the installation of Peacemaker Garage Creative Studios tested the effectiveness of both the Acoustic Panels and the Peacemaker with a decibel reduction test. The test revealed a 16 decibel reduction after the installation of our products (the test is illustrated in the video below).
Rich M. commented on the entire process stating, "We used Audimute products in our audio suite and what a dramatic improvement. The wall treatments in the control room and voice booth really helped to control the reverb and low frequencies. Now the room sounds more balanced and it helps me to achieve a more accurate mix of my projects."
