Planks Acoustic Panels Kit

To help ensure a successful install, we recommend laying out the panels first. Consider purchasing a printed layout guide for an additional $10. It is a to scale, kit-sized printed guide on fabric, which is designed to have the panels arranged directly on top of it. After all of the panels are placed on the guide, you can then confidently install them. See the Details section below for more information.

Fabrics, colors, and images may be slightly different from what you see on your monitor. To ensure accuracy, we encourage customers to order our Samples.

Planks Acoustic Panels Kit

We created our Acoustic Panels Kits to be modern and unique. Each kit is modular, so multiple kits can be used horizontally and/or vertically to increase the acoustic coverage on your walls or ceilings. The kits can be installed vertically or horizontally. Rearrange the panels in the kits and/or combine different kits to create other alluring designs.

Main Features:

  • Made in the USA
  • Durable
  • Effective - See Specs & Installation section for NRC ratings.
  • Easy to Install - See Specs & Installation section for installation methods.
    • - The panels will be packaged separated by cover materials (colors), and labeled as A, B, C, D, depending on how many cover materials are included in the kit. The cover material labeled A will be the lightest color cover material and range to D as the darkest. Use this layout guide as a reference to match the cover materials with their positions in the kit.
    • - Before installing, to ensure you have the panels arranged as desired, we recommend using the printed layout guide (if purchased), or arrange the panels on a flat, clean surface, such as a table or floor. Please use the Cover Material Style image for the kit you selected and the layout guide as references. Arranging the panels by cover material and position should be done carefully.
  • Safe - Completely fiberglass-free, unlike alternative sound absorbing material. Fiberglass can irritate lungs, eyes, skin, and throat.
  • Eco-Friendly - eco-C-tex takes 1/10th the energy of making fiberglass and 1/40th of making foam.
  • Class A Fire-Rated (ASTM E-84) - Suitable for use in commercial spaces, conforms to most building regulations.

The core of the panels is made from our 100% recycled sound absorption material, eco-C-tex®, which consists of a blend of recycled cotton and cellulose fibers, the majority of which are post-consumer recycled newspaper.

This kit is available in various, designer curated cover material styles, which may include AcoustiColor®, AcoustiWood®, AcoustiStone®, and/or AcoustiFelt™.

AcoustiColor products are coated to match Sherwin-Williams paint colors. AcoustiWood and AcoustiStone have high-resolution graphics designed to resemble real wood and stone, which are printed on acoustical fabric. AcoustiFelt is the Felt acoustical fabric from Guilford of Maine.

Please Note:

  • Please Note: Orders of $2,500 or more may require longer lead times. Please contact us if there are any questions.
  • AcoustiColor Acoustic Panels are created using recycled materials, so natural variations in texture and shading can occur, especially from order to order.
  • Every AcoustiColor product purchase includes an AcoustiColor Touch Up Kit, because bumps and dings happen. This all-in-one paint touch-up kit is specially formulated to provide long-lasting repairs to small nicks, scratches, and chips with a simple squeeze of the enclosed bottle.
  • The panels in each kit will have edges uncovered, where the core sound absorption material, eco-C-tex, will be visible.

Recycled Materials Eco-Friendly - Audimute's eco-C-tex® sound absorption material consists of a blend of recycled cotton and cellulose fibers, the majority of which are post-consumer recycled newspaper and requires an astounding 1/10th of the amount of energy to produce compared to traditional fiberglass.
Health Rated Safe for your health - Non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, no fiberglass.
Fire Rating Class A Fire-Rated (ASTM E-84) - The materials used in our acoustic products have received the highest rating possible under the ASTM E-84. Learn more here.
Acoustic Product Installation Easy Installation - Designed to be mounted to a surface using Audimute Strata® Tape along with Loctite® Power Grab® Express Heavy Duty, or using a brad nailer such as a Paslode® Brad Nailer and our Compatible Foot. We do not recommend using a brad nailer with fabric acoustic panels (i.e, Anchorage, FR701, & Synopsis). Other installation methods can be used, such as industrial foam tape, however, we have not tested other methods and therefore cannot guarantee their effectiveness and are not responsible for installation failures. The kits can be installed on ceilings too. For ceiling applications we recommend using Titebond® Acoustic Ceiling Tile Adhesive or a brad nailer such as a Paslode® Brad Nailer and our Compatible Foot.
