Peacemaker Isolation Pad is a small yet dense sound isolation material designed to float devices that cause vibration such as speakers, mics, and sub-woofers. Using Peacemaker Isolation Pad will help to decouple items from a surface, reducing vibration transfer. Excellent purchase for my huge subwoofers. The iso pads stopped the entire house from rattling..., and haven't heard any concerns from any neighbors.

Also, improved overall sound quality and depth of bass tones, more defined sound.

h. Installation: - super-easy, you just lay the stuff down, it's heavy enough to stay where you put it. - It can be easily cut with any saw (they recomend a band saw for smooth cuts). I used a reciprocating saw - cuts like butter, but not as straight of a cut. The fact it is slightly flexible helps if your cuts aren't quite perfect. :-) - If you use it for flooring, 2.5" vinyl right-angles for wall edges can be used to seal the edges. I put Cimexa underneath to keep bugs out, and the vinyl keeps dirt and dust from migrating under the tiles. How it worked for me: I used it to dampen vibrations in my bedroom (downstairs neighbors), it stops anything from going down and from coming up. I can wear heavy boots and this stuff stops it. I also put it under my bed frame to stop vibrations from coming up through the floor, our building is terrible that way. I also have two portable room air conditioners which the neighbors complained about vibration coming down through the floor. Same for my indoor exercise bike. This stuff stopped all that cold. I eventually made runners of the stuff, so I can walk around any time without disturbing the downstairs neighbors. Having to tiptoe around in socks all the time got old. I previously tried 3/8" thick rubber floor tiles from another vendor, they helped a little, but nothing like this stuff. Read Less

Q: My son has an electronic drum set that we currently have several exercise and felt pads under on our hardwood floor. We live in an apartment and the downstairs neighbor is complaining about hearing a "boom" sound. Would the isolation pads work under the set to deaden the sound? It's primarily from the foot pedals but also from the impact of him hitting the kit itself.

Q: Can an isolation pad be used under a washer or dryer to reduce low-end noise and floor vibrations? Does the material compress down or might this cause the machine to high center and wobble? (if the feet aren’t long enough). Have you heard of anyone using this material for this purpose?

A: Hello Luke! The Isolation Pads can definitely be placed under a washer/dryer to help minimize the low frequency and impact noise that can travel through the structure. You can also look at sound absorption sheets or panels to hang on the walls to also help with absorbing the sound within that room as well! Q: I currently have an acoustic drumset in a room in the second floor of a house. The room is carpeted, and there is a neoprene mat on the carpet where the drums sit. Would adding Peacemaker pads to that set up help any further? Thanks!

Q: would this work to put over the inside of a window to block the sound from going out the window?

A: The Peacemaker Isolation pad is designed to prevent vibration from equipment, speakers, instruments, and more from resonating into and through the floor. For blocking sound through a window, we recommend Audimute Isole or building a mass loaded barrier with 3mm Peacemaker Sound barrier.

Q: Would you recommend this to place an electronic drum kit on top of it to reduce vibration/sound to the floor?

A: Hello, yes this can help with floor vibration when put between the drum kit and floor however the sound within the space is still going to be the same so I would also recommend sound absorption sheets setup around your area where you are playing to help absorb the sound being reflected in the space as well.
